Privacy Policy

Mail Gurd is designed to remove emails from blocked senders while collecting as little information as possible.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, we store your Google account email address, basic profile information, OAuth tokens needed to access Gmail, your blocked sender list, and your app settings.

If analytics are enabled, we store basic removal records: the blocked sender that matched, the time the email was removed, and a countable event record. We do not store email bodies, subjects, attachments, or full message content.

How we use Gmail access

Mail Gurd uses Gmail access only to identify messages from addresses you blocked and remove matching messages according to your selected setting.

If you choose permanent delete, messages matching your blocked sender list may be deleted permanently from Gmail and cannot be recovered from Trash.

What we do not store

We do not store email body text, subject lines, attachments, full email content, or copies of your mailbox.

When analytics are disabled, we do not keep removal history. The service only performs the removal action for matching senders.

Disconnecting Gmail

You can disconnect Gmail from inside the app at any time. Disconnecting removes stored Gmail tokens and stops Mail Gurd from accessing your Gmail account.

You may also revoke access from your Google Account security settings.

Data security

We use access controls and encrypted transport where supported to protect stored data and communication with Google APIs.

No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but Mail Gurd is built to minimize the amount of Gmail data stored in the first place.

Contact

For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the app owner using the support email listed on the Google OAuth consent screen.
